Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir, Malegaon Camp owes its existence to the inspiration, pioneering work and farsightedness of its founder, Late Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray, a staunch freedom fighter, one of the pioneers of forming of Maharashtra state and co- operative movement in Nashik District, an educationist and Ex-Revenue minister of the then Bombay province. He founded the two well-known educational trusts in Nashik District, viz., "Adivasi Seva Samitee" in 1945 and "Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir" in 1952. The major objective of these organizations was to provide the educational facilities to the masses from all the spheres of society.
Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir’s Samajshri Prashantdada Hiray College of Pharmacy is a professional higher education College which started its journey towards the Premier Centre of Pharmacy Education in the year 2006.
The College is committed to imparting knowledge and skills among the graduates and fostering the culture of inclusivity and values. The college makes efforts to develop the students' competent and confident to handle the ever-changing challenges of the healthcare sector and to build moral and ethical values among them to ensure the utmost scrupulous professional behaviour.
College endeavours to train students on the significance of quality in healthcare and achieve this by ensuring quality at all operational levels including education, teaching, learning, evaluation, development, and administration.
