Eligibility for Admission to Diploma in Pharmacy: The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Std. XII) of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
Seats Available: 80% under the CAP process & 20% at the institute level.
Availability for OMS Candidates: The seats remaining vacant, if any, in unaided colleges after offering admissions to all Maharashtra candidates on the merit list will be offered to eligible candidates from states other than Maharashtra (OMS). All OMS candidates will be considered as general category candidates.
Institution Admits Candidates Through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)
a) Display or publishing of the Information Brochure by the Competent Authority.
b) Filling out the online application form by candidates willing to take admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy.
c) Document verification at the Facilitation Centre by the candidate in person.
d) Display or publishing of the provisional merit list, submission of grievances (if any), and display or publishing of the final merit list.
e) Display of available category-wise seats (seat matrix) for CAP Round I.
f) Filling and confirmation of the online option form with preferences of courses and institutions before CAP Round I.
g) Display of provisional allotment for CAP Round I indicating the allotted institute and course.
Options available during CAP before accepting the allotted seat:
a) Freeze: Candidates accept the offered seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.
b) Slide: Candidates accept the offered seat but opt for an academic program of higher preference within the same institution in subsequent rounds.
c) Float: Candidates accept the offered seat but opt for an academic program of higher preference in any institution in subsequent rounds. If a higher-preference seat is offered, the earlier seat is forfeited.
d) Candidates opting for Slide or Float and securing a seat of higher preference automatically forfeit the previously accepted seat.
e) Slide and Float options are not available for candidates allotted their first-choice academic program.
Conduct of CAP Rounds II and III:
- The available seats for Rounds II and III will be published on the website.
- Candidates can edit their online option forms before these rounds.
- Before the start of these rounds, candidates may switch from Slide or Float to Freeze or vice versa at the Admission Reporting Center (ARC).
- Candidates who were not allotted a seat in earlier rounds or did not participate can apply in these rounds.
- Candidates opting for Slide or Float should not include the institution already allotted in their preference list; it will be automatically added by the system.
- Slide and Float options are not available in Round III.
- Candidates must report to the Admission Reporting Center for confirmation of their admission.
Reporting and Final Admission Confirmation:
- After the final CAP round, the candidate must report to the allotted institution and confirm admission.
